Inspirational Writing

In this Writers in the Schools (WITS) workshop, young writers will deepen their writing practice by focusing on the art of storytelling and essay writing as they discover what inspires them and drives them to share their stories. Modeled after the supportive environment of a college creative writing workshop, students will share their original work and offer feedback on each other’s, learning the value of revision and collaboration as they become stronger writers. Parents and family will be invited to hear students read their favorite pieces at a writing celebration, and participants will leave with a portfolio of their own work.
