Colorful Writing Workshop

How can young writers use visual art to spark new creative energy and give life to their written work? In this Writers in the Schools (WITS) workshop young writers will focus on poetry and will be invited to explore how text and visual art work together. They will read works by several artist-writers to discover how art can animate the written word. At the end of the workshop, participants will host a showcase featuring pieces from their unique portfolios of written and visual work. *Students may be asked to bring extra art materials
